Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Coordinator with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Candidate must be able to work on daily basis; we are only considering applications from local Iraqi nationals preferably residing in Iraq, Basra

Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Coordinator with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Candidate must be able to work on daily basis; we are only considering applications from local Iraqi nationals preferably residing in Iraq, Basra
- Provide construction input to general activities & interface between ‘Local’ workforces (Plant supervision etc.)
- Attuned meetings with contractor’s ’Local’ workforce and advise on action outcome.
- Provide constructability input to designs.
- Coordinate with Lead Field Engineers on all aspects of ongoing workface activities.
- Assist in the ‘Mentoring’ of ‘Local’ graduates & advising on work activities accordingly.
- Act as interpreter where necessary (this especially at TBT’s.
- Strong skill-set on areas of civils & infrastructure.
- Identify and advise on Specialist Vendor Support, Tools and Equipment required to implement scope.
- Interface with Client’s Operations groups as & when necessary.
- Taking part in site surveys and generation of reports where required.
- Assist with construction input to ensure awareness & understanding of the various scopes of work.
- Working in a team environment.
- Involved in Effective Change Management
- Assist in the Coordination of required timely Constructability reviews, in line with Model progression.
- Assist with the required Constructability Readiness reviews for being addressed to suit the work-pack deliverable timing.
- Liaise strongly with site materials division for materials & equipment deliverables for alignment to the overall project schedules.
- Participate in HSE improvement activities, promoting HSE elements throughout Work as being progressed and installed.
- Liaise at all times at the work front on any HSE findings whilst ‘mediating’ with the ‘Local’ work-force.
- Full working knowledge of construction activities in relation to the relevant Piping,
- Mechanical, discipline.
- Assist with lessons learnt & addressing same for feedback and areas of action as required. (Offer solutions and observations as required.
- Ability to review engineering design drawings and challenge work content for unnecessary Hot work inclusion.
- Must have strong background in Front end area with the ‘Local’ workforce.
- Field Construction experience essential.
- Likely to have held supervisory roles previously.
- Knowledge of the client core values & policies
