Procurement Officer

  • Under the authority of the CFO, the direction of SCM, the Procurement Officer is responsible for different Procurement operations as stated below. Duties and responsibilities
  • Identify potential suppliers for all kinds of purchases locally.
  • Coordinate all purchases and offers with the SCM and related departments
  • Liaise with suppliers during the whole procurement process (invitation to tender- bid comparisonannouncing tender results, conducting negotiations
  • Coordinate purchased goods delivered safely and on time
  • Prepare payment requests and ensure invoices are received, paid, and recorded properly
  • Receive the purchased goods in coordination with the warehouse and monitor the quality/quantity, send notifications regarding arrival or materials
  • Communicate and update the concerned people about purchased materials
  • Manage the day-to-day procurement operations
  • Analyze procurement problems and provide solutions
  • Communicates closely with SCM to follow proper procurement guidelines
  • Coordinate with finance regarding payments and provide necessary docs
  • Prepare and provide weekly and monthly reports to the SCM, or whenever required
  • Ensure cost efficiency and reliability while purchasing goods
  • Be an active PoC in all purchasing processes to be contacted by suppliers
  • Be familiar with the local market and price comparison
  • Negotiate with the vendors in favor of the company, and review the offers to keep the costs low
  • Maintain records and manage all details related to procurement
  • Handle any other duties as may be assigned by SCM
  • Participate actively and contribute to improving procurement activities overall
  • The ability to interact, establish and maintain good effective working relationships with the suppliers
  • Ensure transparent selection of suppliers by equal treatment of all potential suppliers, enlarging the current scope of suppliers on an ongoing basis
  • Collect closed envelope offers from suppliers and open them within a signed and authorized committee
  • Timely update of the procurement tracking table
  • Work with team members and SCM to complete duties as needed.

  • Good level of technical skills in IT is desired.
  • Good communication skills, and teamwork
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
  • Attention to detail, strong time management skills.
  • Works well with deadlines, possibility working on weekends and holidays.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, any other language is a plus.
