ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for SATCOM Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Support candidates who will support the day-to-day maintenance and operation of assigned terminals. Candidate will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.
Prefer candidates with a valid US passport. Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

All candidates will perform the following duties:
Provide knowledge of tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment. Provide proficiency operating Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switch, associated cables, and interconnects; Up Converters, Redundancy Switch; Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects; Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Units; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS); Generator (if applicable).
Provide technical documentation skills related to SAR, GAR, TSR and ASI requests. Provide knowledge on how to use Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) equipment; power meter, spectrum analyzer, firebird, voltmeter, etc...

SKILLS REQUIRED:

All candidates will have the following minimum skills:
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork. Work well independently or as a member of a team environment Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills. Must have an active Secret Clearance. Shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of satellite communications electronic systems or equipment. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience operating in a tactical satellite environment operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNA/LNB, up and down converters, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems) and Modem Hub operations. Efficient experience and skill with commercial and military satellite and commercial TDMA/FDMA modems required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Associate’s degree in the Electronics field, OR a certification plus seven (7) total years of recent specialized experience, OR ten (10) total years of recent specialized experience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.
