The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality video and still images for a variety of projects, including marketing materials, social media content, product photography, corporate events, and more. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to produce engaging visual content that aligns with brand objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare a brief, and an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay.
- Assemble raw footage with camera shots (either recorded or transferred) into a videotape and feed it into the computer.
- Input uncut rushes, sound, synchronizing and storing them into files.
- Cut files digitally to put together the sequence of the film and decide what to use.
- Create a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the programme/film and determine the exact cut for the next and final stages.
- Rearrange and adjust content to ensure logical sequencing and smooth playback of the film/video.
- Oversee the quality and progress of audio/video engineering and editing.
- Experiment with styles and techniques including designing graphic elements.
- Write voiceover/commentary and suggest or select music.
- Online editing and finalizing technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading, coloring and adding special effects
Skills
- Proven experience as a videographer and photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Experience with various types of video cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation (After Effects).
- Experience with drone photography and videography.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting techniques, and audio for video production.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and feedback.
