We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Procurement Specialist to lead procurement and contracting activities in support of operations in Basra. The ideal candidate will deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions that ensure safety, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability across procurement categories. The role involves supplier engagement, contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, performance management, and coaching local teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead contracting and procurement to support operations delivery plans.
• Ensure sourcing governance, contract compliance, and system implementation.
• Drive supplier performance and manage vendor relationships per SLAs.
• Develop and implement category strategies and cost optimization initiatives.
• Coach and support local procurement team capabilities and ensure HSE and Code of Conduct adherence.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 8+ years’ experience in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with regional (Middle East) operations and requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in PSCM systems such as SAP/Maximo and Ariba.
• CIPS or CPM certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment under pressure and tight deadlines.
