Overview:
The OR Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing electrical design, installation, and commissioning activities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electrical system designs in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support OR&SU team by attending SH1 Walk downs for electrical systems and sub-systems
- Review and approve electrical drawings and documentation.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and schematic design.
- Collaborate with project managers to align electrical engineering activities with overall project goals.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise during execution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to assess electrical installations and provide solutions for any challenges encountered.
- Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with safety regulations and best practices
- Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews related to electrical systems.
- Promote a culture of safety within the project team and ensure compliance with company policies
- Proven experience in project execution, particularly in upstream and downstream sectors
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and NEC.
