Job Title: Import Manager / Import-Export Manager
Location: Baghdad, Iraq
Salary: USD 2,000 – 3,000 per month (Net Salary – All Inclusive)
Working Hours: Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are the Iraqi branch of SAMAN TEA PRIVATE LIMITED (India) , officially registered with the Republic of Iraq – Ministry of Trade, Companies Registration Department (Foreign Companies Section).
Our parent company in India is one of the largest exporters of tea and sunflower oil, with long-standing business relationships in Iraq.
To strengthen and expand our operations in the Iraqi market, we have established our registered branch office in Baghdad.
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and professional Import Manager to manage and oversee our import operations in Iraq.
Job Summary
The Import Manager will be primarily responsible for managing all import documentation, customs clearance processes,
ISCUDA registration and tax payments, coordination with ports and transporters, and banking documentation for remittance of payments to exporters.
The candidate must be based in Baghdad and work from the branch office. In case of operational issues,
the candidate must be willing to travel to Umm Qasr Port (South & North Terminals) to resolve clearance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Complete handling of ISCDA / ASYCUDA import registration and clearance procedures
Preparation and submission of all documents required under the ISCUDA system
Payment of customs duties, taxes, and related fees through ISCUDA
Managing container clearance at Umm Qasr Port (South & North Terminals)
Coordinating with clearing agents, port authorities, and customs officials
Ensuring timely release of containers and transportation to the company warehouse
Coordinating with transporters and logistics providers
Preparing and managing all documentation required for:
Liaising with banks to ensure smooth transfer of payments to exporters
Maintaining proper documentation, compliance records, and audit files
Ensuring compliance with Iraqi import laws and regulations
Coordinating closely with other departments within the company
Handling any import-related operational issues proactively
Requirements
Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience in import/export operations in Iraq
Strong knowledge of:
ISCUDA / ASYCUDA system
Iraqi customs regulations
Import documentation requirements
Bank documentation for international remittance
Hands-on experience with clearance at Umm Qasr Port
Excellent understanding of customs duty calculation and tax payments
Fluent in English (Mandatory)
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Ability to travel to Umm Qasr Port when required
Must be residing in Baghdad
Strong coordination and teamwork skills
Professional work ethics and high level of responsibility
