We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the complete MEP works for a prestigious 5-Star Hotel Project in Iraq.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and BMS works from design coordination through procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, and final handover while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and schedule performance. Previous experience delivering luxury hospitality projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and BMS works.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, interior designers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project progress, quality, cost, and schedule to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead procurement planning and coordinate material approvals.
• Manage testing, commissioning, system integration, and project handover.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, hotel brand standards, local regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Resolve technical and construction challenges proactively.
• Prepare progress reports and attend coordination meetings with the Client and Consultant.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP construction projects.

Minimum 5 years in a Project Manager or Senior MEP Management role.

Proven experience delivering at least one 5-Star Hotel Project from construction through testing & commissioning and handover.

Strong knowledge of HVAC (Chilled Water Systems), Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, BMS, and coordination of Electrical systems.

Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

PMP certification is an advantage.

Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Excellent command of English.
