He may be involved in recruiting, hiring and training the work crews necessary to successfully complete projects. The foreman assigns duties and is responsible for monitoring the progress of a project and keeping it on track from a time and budgetary standpoint.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Journeyman certificate and/or inter-provincial Red Seal certificate
- Proficient in academic and practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Experience running at least 1 job as a foreman or lead hand
- Good communication skills, very strong grasp of the English language in both spoken and written word
- Solid work ethic and aptitude for problem solving and planning
- Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Nightingale s Health & Safety Policies
