Key responsibilities

Programme leadership & delivery governance
Lead IT programmes and strategic technology initiatives across oil and gas field operations, production facilities, corporate environments and wider business operations.
Establish programme governance, delivery cadence, reporting standards and escalation routes across multiple projects and workstreams.
Maintain integrated delivery plans covering milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, actions, decisions, resourcing and budget considerations.
Provide senior-level reporting to leadership and client stakeholders, including delivery status, critical path risks, decisions required and recovery actions.

PMO, project controls & assurance
Develop and manage PMO-type frameworks including project charters, delivery dashboards, RAID logs, action trackers, change controls, dependency registers and benefits tracking.
Ensure consistent project management discipline across infrastructure, service transition, application, cyber security and digital delivery initiatives.
Drive project assurance reviews to confirm scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, operational readiness and stakeholder acceptance criteria.
Support governance forums, steering committees and working groups with clear agendas, minutes, decision logs and follow-up actions.

IT integration & operations management
Lead integration of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, end-user computing, field connectivity and operational support services into a cohesive delivery and support model.
Coordinate technology deployment across remote oilfield sites, production facilities, camps, offices, warehouses and operational support locations.
Ensure IT services are designed and transitioned into operations with appropriate support processes, service ownership, monitoring, documentation and escalation paths.
Align IT delivery with operations, maintenance, engineering, HSE and business priorities to minimize disruption and support reliable field performance.

Oil & gas and wider operations technology delivery
Support technology planning and delivery for field operations, production support, maintenance execution, logistics, security, camp operations and wider industrial environments.
Coordinate deployment of ruggedized field IT, communications, surveillance, access control, industrial Wi-Fi, network connectivity and operational technology-adjacent systems.
Work with operations teams to define practical requirements, manage site constraints and deliver solutions suitable for remote, high-availability and safety-critical environments.
Support operational readiness, cutover planning and handover for new facilities, brownfield enhancements and transition activities.

Vendor, procurement & stakeholder management
Manage delivery interfaces with vendors, system integrators, service providers and technology partners including Huawei, ZTE, CCTV, access control, network and cloud suppliers.
Support procurement, service order development, technical evaluation, delivery acceptance and contract performance monitoring.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across IT, IM, Digital, Cyber Security, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement and client teams.
Resolve delivery blockers through structured escalation, commercial coordination and clear ownership of actions.

Risk, cyber security & business continuity
Ensure project delivery incorporates cyber security, data protection, resilience, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity requirements from the outset.
Maintain visibility of programme and operational risks, ensuring mitigation plans are documented, owned and progressed.
Coordinate with cyber security teams to ensure infrastructure, remote access, vendor connectivity and operational systems are reviewed and controlled.
Support incident response, recovery planning and service continuity arrangements for critical IT and operational support systems.

Team leadership & capability development
Lead cross-functional IT delivery teams, coordinators, engineers, vendors and support resources to deliver agreed programme and operational outcomes.
Coach team members in project management discipline, delivery reporting, stakeholder communication and operational support expectations.
Promote a structured delivery culture focused on accountability, transparency, measurable progress and continuous improvement.
Support local capability development and knowledge transfer through documentation, mentoring and structured handover activities.

Education, certifications & professional development

Education
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems, Project Management or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred certifications
PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, AgilePM, Scrum Master or equivalent programme / project management certification.
ITIL Foundation or higher, with practical service transition and IT operations experience.
Microsoft Azure, Cisco, Huawei, ZTE, cloud, infrastructure or networking certifications would be advantageous.
Cyber security, business continuity or risk management certifications would be advantageous.
