Under the overall supervision of the Project Officer (Livelihoods) and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the Senior Project Associate(s) will serve the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) technical team as focal points for Environmental & Social Action Plan s (ESAP) and Milestone Verification (MV) procedures respectively. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of quality assurance processes for the EDF technical team, and the maintenance of quality assurance standard operating procedures (SOPs) for EDF processes under their responsibility. This role requires extensive liaison with IOM field staff to respond to requests, follow-up on delays, etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.

School diploma in relevant with six years of relevant experience; Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience

Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;

Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,

Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.

Skills

Strong editing, and proofreading skills.

Strong organizational and document management skills.

Experience maintaining databases, trackers, and filing systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Experience using SharePoint or other document management platforms.

Ability to compile and consolidate information from multiple sources.

Experience supporting reporting and proposal development processes.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor information flows.

Knowledge of standard administrative and programme support procedures.

Languages

All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). Fluency in English is required

Arabic and Kurdish are advantage
