As a Senior Accountant - Reporting, you will be involved in the reporting process in Egypt. You will support the Group reporting and Group audit process alongside the local statutory audit process. You will get involved with setting up internal control processes for the Egypt finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting and Internal controls:Assist finance manager on the month-end and year-end closing activities as per accounting policies and procedures based on IFRS for Group reporting and local GAAP for statutory reportingPerform General ledger reconciliations including Intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliationPrepare a final trial balance for relevant entities and financial statements including disclosures in accordance with IFRSAssist finance manager in analysing financial statements line itemsWork closely with Group team based in Dubai on group deliverablesWork closely with various finance operations team such as AR, AP, systems team and FP&A teamPrepare workings/accounting papers for various accounting treatments as per IFRSCoordinate with auditors during local statutory audits and group audit-related reportingDevelop and implement tool sets and reports that support business needs as and when required.Take part in ensuring best practice for documentation of accounting processes and controlsPerform any additional assignments as directed by the finance managerVAT and Corporate tax:Assist in VAT reporting and complianceAssist in corporate tax reporting and complianceConduct day-to-day transactional processing and reporting on taxation. This includes the accurate posting of all tax-related entries including deferred taxAssist the finance manager for any direct and indirect tax queries from tax authoritiesGeneral:Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of financial and accounting operations and systems, procedures and practices considering automation and improvement of business processes.Work closely with other finance and non-finance teams to achieve overall reporting objectives.Assisted in any other projects or tasks the Group reporting team assigned.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAITSQualified/Part Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a reputable/listed corporate organisation.Experience in reporting role including financial statements preparation (must)Experience working in reputable audit firms (desirable)Fluent in both Arabic and English (mandatory)Understanding of IFRS and local GAAP applicable in EgyptKnowledge of using Oracle Netsuite or similar systems (desirable)Good business acumenOrganisational and accounting skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detailAbility to work under pressure.ProactiveMeet deadlinesBenefitsSocial, Medical & Life InsuranceA fast paced, high performing team.Rewards & RecognitionsLearning & Development opportunities #dubizzleegypt
