Think of when you go to a supermarket and you pay by card , unless you go to a supermarket that has a loyalty program and you get your loyalty card out, the POS terminal doesn't tell the retailer if you're a new or returning customer, demographics, gender, etc. Unlike e-ecommerce, in physical retail customer identification always had to be a separate step because the payment terminal is not built to self-identify the paying customer. Hence, a plethora of valuable data is lost or underutilized. With Zeal's advanced Smart POS plugin, the company integrates with POS terminals globally to provide payment acquirers and ISVs with a unique differentiator for their POS terminals. The merchants of our partners benefit from world-class data, analytics & tools to predict consumer behavior using Artificial Intelligence, enabling merchants to unlock the full potential of transactional data. About The Role: We are seeking a proactive and insightful Business Analyst to join our Product Management team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fintech with a focus on enhancing customer loyalty through product features. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, craft user stories, monitor the execution phase, and contribute to UI/UX design discussions, all aimed at bolstering Zeal's product offerings. Key Responsibilities: As a Business Analyst at Zeal, you will be:

  • A key part of Zeal's Apollo Squad, focusing on Acquirers integrations, sandbox, dashboards and APIs for our business partners.
  • Working with the Product Management and Development teams to define, prioritize, and validate business requirements for new features and enhancements.
  • Creating user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development process and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborating with UI/UX designers to ensure that product features are user-friendly and meet customer needs.
  • Facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding of project goals, progress, and outcomes.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights on product performance, user behavior, and market trends.
  • Conducting market and trend analysis to identify opportunities and challenges within the fintech and retail sectors.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, ideally within the payment solutions domain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with requirement gathering, writing user stories, and overseeing project execution phases.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and a keen eye for detail to contribute effectively to design discussions.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in Arabic being a significant plus.
