Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer – COO with Technical Background to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business.

The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.

The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

 

 

Responsibilities

●     Translate business vision and strategy into operational tactics, building organizational support and infrastructure needed to achieve this end.

●     Advise the CEO on strategic business development, key corporate planning issues and make recommendations on major business decisions.

●     Develop, in collaboration with the CEO and the chief financial officer (CFO), an annual operating plan that support the Corporate long term operations strategy. 

●     Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

●     Establish policies that promote company culture and vision-and ensure the applying of the company policies that promote company culture and vision

●     Supervising the target achievement of the following Department: ICT, automation, software, security, power, marketing, research and development and regulatory affairs administration, operations, finance, HR, logistic...etc.

●     Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.

●     Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.

●     Encourage managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with company’s overall strategy which will lead to high performance. Challenge basic assumptions underlying each department’s operation. Act as a sounding board for department managers.

●     Keep the CEO informed about business activities, potential threats, opportunities, and recommended actions by submitting the needed reports as required

●     Follow-up on decisions made in management meetings and ensure proper execution.

●     Assist CEO in fundraising ventures

●     Help determine resource allocation among departments.

●     Facilitate resolution of issues between departments.

●     Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)

●     Manage relationships with partners/vendors

●     Creates a culture of mutual accountability.

●     Provides a system for employee salaries and benefits, and makes sure employees feel valued

Job needs

●     Travel, as required, to customer locations, supplier facilities and other executive matters.

 

 

Education & Experience

●     Minimum 7~10 years’ Experience in Business management, preferably with multinational companies, or local companies with exposure to international markets.

●     5 years’ Experience in EPC projects

●     Minimum BSc. (Electrical/ Electronics/ Communication) With MBA (Finance/HR) is preferred.

●     The required knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Communication, Public or Business Administration
