Job :Medical Assistant/Radiology (Nurse)

Reports to:Radiology Manager

Position Overview:

• Medical assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties.Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in our Radiology Department and often explain the physician's instructions. They are also essential members of our Patient-Centered Medical team.

Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities:

• Answering patient telephone calls and scheduling appointments
• Guiding and explaining procedures and services to patients
• Updating and filing patient information
• Handling correspondence, book-keeping and billing
• Greeting and preparing patients for their procedure
• Taking medical history and performing basic examinations
• Instructing patients on medication and special diets
• Preparing and administrating medication as directed by a physician
• Assisting the physicians during examination
• Drawing blood, inserting and removing cannulas
• Removing sutures and changing dressings

Requirements:

Language: Fluency in written and oral Kurdish, English and Arabic

Skills

• Friendly and enthusiastic
• Strong patient care skills
• Diploma or bachelor degree in Nursing or Physics
• Language: must speak Kurdish and Arabic; English would be advantageous
• Computer literacy especially in MS word, excel
• Good communication skills
• Flexible work hours
