Position Purpose: Fulfilling the role of Terminal Operator, this role works closely with the Gantry supervisor for the smooth operation of loading and unloading activities. The terminal operator will perform the duties for unloading of Vacuum residue and bitumen loading on trucks. (in cooperation with other departments through shift supervisor if concerned). Position Accountabilities:
• follow the company policies and enforces safety regulations to ensure compliance.
• Ensure all necessary steps for the Vacuum residue unloading activity and Bitumen loading on trucks are complete.
• Coordinate operations activities to ensure the qualified products are dispatched to customers.
• Participate in preventive maintenance program (in co-operating with Maintenance teams) for all machinery to ensure operational and safety performance.
• Implements standard operational procedures and good working practices during his work.
• Perform other assignments, duties, and tasks as assigned by supervisors and ensure housekeeping of the Bitumen Loading and unloading of Vac. Residue area daily.
• Create and maintain a motivating work environment with other staff and teams at the site.
• Responding quickly to any emergencies in the Loading and unloading area.
• Ensure that safe work rules and practices are understood, implemented, and consistently followed by the workers and subcontractors, while performing work in the area.
• Coordinate with shift supervisor for a daily plan for bitumen Loading and vac. Residue unloading and adjust the activities according.
• Implement HSE procedures and processes to achieve an “Accident & Incident” free environment.
• Record keeping of daily filling and unloading activities in respective sheets.
• Check and confirm the complete line-up before starting the loading and unloading activity. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Qualification
• General Education with Technical training certificate or Chemical Engineering Degree. Experience
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in oil field, Refinery, Terminals (Upstream/Downstream Operation)
• Experience in Bitumen Loading and Vac. Residue unloading activities.
• Familiar with Bitumen and Vac. Residue Risk & hazards.
• Good understanding of oil and gas facilities Production Skills
• Strong teamwork, and logical and analytical thinking.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
• Knowledge of safety laws and regulations.
