GardaWorld are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Regional Operations Manager based in Iraq. As the Regional Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing operational efficiency across our diverse range of services in the Central and Southern Iraq regions.

Services


The Contractor, in the role of Regional Operations Manager (ROM) based in Baghdad and Basra, is responsible for providing operational support and security services to ensure the safety of all personnel under the duty of care of RMT, Central and Southern Iraq. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:



  1. Operational Leadership:

    • Under the direction of the Country Manager for Iraq, build and maintain the operational platform for delivering GardaWorld's security services in Central Iraq.

    • Lead, supervise, and oversee the operational delivery of all GardaWorld Contractors and projects in Central and Southern Iraq.

    • Maintain close client relationships and identify/develop new clients.



  2. SOPs and ISO 18788 Compliance:

    • Manage all operational activities, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    • Produce and regularly revise SOPs and Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) specific to GW Central and Southern Iraq.

    • Implement, maintain, and audit ISO 18788 standards.



  3. Contractor Management:

    • Manage rotation and authority for flight changes for contractors.

    • Manage discipline across projects and staff.

    • Advise on contractor selection and define job descriptions for RMT and Project Management team positions.



  4. Administrative and Oversight Responsibilities:

    • Produce the Central Iraq Weekly Situation Report.

    • Execute issuing of job bulletins and ensure correct contracting and implementation of terms and conditions for local staff.

    • Coordinate resourcing with the Iraq QM and Resource Manager Dubai.

    • Oversee all expenditure throughout Central and Southern Iraq and advise the Country Manager on all costs incurred in-country.

    • Check payrolls and verify monthly cash requests from Project Managers.

    • Cover AFM Position during rotation breaks.

    • Act as a signatory for all GW Visas within Central and Southern Iraq and the GW TBI bank account.



  5. Miscellaneous:

    • Undertake any other direction or reasonable request from the GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.



Requirement



  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in security and operational management.

  • In-depth knowledge of security industry standards, protocols, and best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams effectively.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in Iraq.

  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and challenging environments.

  • Ability to travel within the region as required.
