iMMAP continues to implement its project to provide information management technical support and capacity building to the Iraqi National Mine Action Authorities (NMAAs), including the Directorate of Mine Action (DMA) in Baghdad including landmine and other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) clearance operations, Explosive Ordnance Risk Education for ERW-affected communities, as well as ERW victim assistance activities.


iMMAP's Information Management System for Mine Action (IMSMA) and Geographic Information System (GIS) technical expertise support the NMAAs to develop customized IM tools and maintain a reliable information management cell to produce maps and reports for landmine and ERW planning, prioritization, and clearance activities.The IMSMA (Information Management System for Mine Action) data entry clerk will be responsible for verifying and recording forms to IMSMA. She/he will be responsible for all assigned by the Project manager.

Description of Duties



Receiving IMSMA field reports from the OPS office and entering them into the IMSMA database. Maintaining a high standard for the IMSMA and GIS capabilities within the Region Mine Action Center. Ø Perform checks of minefields, suspected mined areas, victims, and Ops progress information to ensure data quality at the region level. Assisting the NGO staff in completing and updating all the data fields in IMSMA. Performing Quality Assurance checks on field reports (Hazard, Hazard Reduction, Victim and Accident, MRE and other related reports) on mapping products. Preparing all weekly and monthly reports on the Data entry section in the IMSMA office for office review. Able to travel to all provinces in Iraq for any IMSMA support. Advising the OPS and QA on matters of field report data discrepancies. Completing additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager. Able to manage all tasks that come from ops and update them about their task.

Requirements



Excellent computer skills in Windows and Microsoft Office especially MS Excel and MS Access. Basic skills in using ArcGIS software. Graduate or undergraduate of an institute or university in a related field with at least 1 year or work experience in the field of data management. Good working knowledge of both written and spoken Arabic and English. The ability to translate Arabic to English and English to Arabic Flexible and adaptable to any situation. Ability to work independently while under pressure and during long hours.
