Air Traffic Manager (Radar)

As the Air Traffic Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall ATC Radar or Tower Facility operations, as well as directly supervising assigned personnel.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:




  • Responsible for the safe, orderly flow of air traffic within their designated airspace. Rules of separation must be applied to achieve the required separation as outlined in FAA manuals and orders.

  • Coordinates with various controllers and personnel to relay information which pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight including emergency information.

  • Responsible for vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:




  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.

  • Eight (8) years of experience, two (2) years of ATC management, and one (1) year of experience must be from performing in a like type facility.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:




  • Shall hold one of the following radar certifications (ATCS certificate, FAA Credential, FAA, or DoD training records) if staffed in a Radar Facility.

  • Shall hold an FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or FAA (or international equivalent) Credential with Tower rating if staffed in a Control Tower.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:




  • Familiar with radar or control tower operations and apply the required separation of aircraft.

  • Must be able to process flight plans, develop and supervise approach and departure procedures.

  • Full working knowledge of radar/manual approach control operations, control tower and flight planning.

  • Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques; control tower and approach control operations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:




  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License

  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)

  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD SEVENTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY

  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.

  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

TRAVEL: 100% Deployed Overseas


SECURITY CLEARANCE:Active DoD SECRET clearance.
