Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Engineer in Baghdad, Iraq. The Information Technology Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and security of the company's information technology infrastructure. The role also involves leading and training staff, developing IT policies and procedures, and managing budgets and vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience as an IT engineer or in a comparable role.
• Proficiency in overseeing information technology infrastructure, encompassing hardware, software, and networking components.
• Sound understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection protocols.
• Exceptional leadership and communication aptitude.
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in guiding and motivating staff to adhere to IT protocols and company directives.
• Continuous monitoring of technological advancements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including users, management, vendors, and technicians to evaluate computing requirements and system needs.
• Formulate and interpret organizational objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Assess technology utilization within the organization and suggest enhancements such as hardware and software upgrades.
• Review and authorize system charts and program implementations.
• Evaluate data processing proposals for feasibility and requisite specifications.
• Oversee operational budget allocation and spending.
• Procure essential equipment.
• Manage backup, security, and user support systems.
• Provide technical assistance to users encountering computer-related issues.
• Develop and maintain computer information resources ensuring data security, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
• Manage day-to-day operations in providing comprehensive user support for computer systems, antivirus software, email services, network file systems, hardware and software configurations, cloud platforms, and related technologies.
• Engage with departmental heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve issues.
