Diwan Company for Contracting, General Trade and Investment currently implements Cash for Work project in Mosul, Iraq. The Company was established in 1992 to work on different construction projects in Mosul.

The project aims at supporting of returnees, rehabilitating the community infrastructures with cash for work activities and promoting the social cohesion in the Nineveh Governorate, with a focus on West Mosul.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         To ensure the proper implementation and reporting of the Cash for Work activities by supervising the Cash for Work teams and ensure that all activities are carried out and reported in an effective, efficient and transparent matter.

·          Assist Project Manager in Cash For Work implementation including but not limited to beneficiary targeting, registration and supervision of community Cash For Work teams

·          Facilitate Communities to identify suitable Cash for Work activities and together with technical departments, Local Authorities, Stakeholders and Project Engineers design viable Cash for Work activities.

·         Working closely with M&E and with their technical support ensure non exclusion of special vulnerable households in the project and adherence to set accountability standards.

·         Strive to include women and differently abled persons in the CFW projects identification, planning and implementation.

·         Conduct regular CFW site visits to ensure that the projects are being implemented according to the plan and follow up any issues raised by the compliance and accountability teams.

·         Plan and organize the Cash distributions for the CFW activities implemented by registered beneficiaries in communities. Work closely with the distribution assistants and cashiers in organizing and executing the distributions of Cash as well as Tools and materials to Project sites.

·          Ensure effective community and stakeholder coordination in the implementation of the Cash transfer project by adoption of transparency and participatory approaches.

·         Ensure effective communication of project objectives and activities to both beneficiary communities and relevant stakeholders such as local authority and community leadership.

·          Carry out other duties as requested by the Project Manager.

 

Qualifications:

·         University degree is required;

·         Minimum one (1) years of experience in a relevant position;

·         Proven experience in Cash Programming is an advantage;

·         Experience in community mobilization or similar activities; experience in conducting distributions is desired;

·          Intermediate knowledge of English is required;

·         Able to work on a high level with Word, Power Point, and Excel;

·         Very good reporting skills;

·         A previous experience in an international NGOs and/or institution is a strong advantage;

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and deal successfully in multi-cultural environment; and

·         Committed, honest and willing to learn.
