Job Summary
The Cost Control Manager is responsible for managing and controlling costs across the company, including identifying cost-saving opportunities, implementing cost reduction strategies, and monitoring and reporting on cost performance. The Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Procurement, to develop and implement cost control initiatives and ensure compliance with cost control policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities 1 Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, including market trends, competitive pressures, and regulatory changes.
Job Responsibilities 2 • Maintains strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, and negotiate contracts to ensure the most favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to cost control management.
• Cultivates a high-performance culture within the Cost Control team, including setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and coaching, and recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
• Heads and handles cost control policies and procedures, and ensure effective communication and training to relevant stakeholders.
• Stays up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and provide insights and recommendations to the relevant leadership/management team.
Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills • Extensive knowledge and experience in cost control principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple Knowledge of Cost Control and estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) is essential.
• Computer skills: MS applications and Primavera 6 but not essential. ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience • Minimum 10 years of total experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Specialty/industry relevant (required).
• Minimum 3 years in GCC
(preferred).
