Wood is currently looking for a Waste Management Advisor to join our team in Basra, Iraq on a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotational work
Purpose of subject position
- Coordinate the operationally of the Waste Management Facility
- Act as subject matter expert in the Management of the Facility
- Assist with the development of the Waste Management training of personnel
- Ensure compliance with Iraqi regulations & waste management requirements
- Provide environmental compliance and permit technical support to company operations, ensuring all activities adhere to environmental regulations and company policies.
- Drive and oversee environmental protection initiatives, identifying and mitigating environmental risks, and promoting continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
- Offer expert environmental advice and assist project teams in meeting environmental standards during project planning, construction, and operations.
