Senior ORA Engineer

Location Iraq Skills and Responsibilities:** • Provide technical expertise and deliver requirements for Operations Readiness & Assurance at the various project locations in accordance with industry best practice. • Identify training requirements and liaise with L&D department to ensure these are completed pre-start up. • Support the Project to Asset Handover strategy to align with Operations handover requirements. • Technical Certifications, 15+ years’ experience in a gas and oil industry, minimum 5 years in senior position, OR&A experience preferred. • Extensive knowledge of Plant Operations and Control: Gas compression Stations, NGL Plants, Pipeline and Export Terminals • Good understanding of project construction, installation, commissioning, and startup. Working knowledge of completions management • Experience in Operating Integrity and Technical Integrity Verification (TIV) • Control Room Operations Experience is an advantage • Ability to interact with members of projects, contractors & BGC asset teams; • Experience defining operations functional requirements in project scopes and ensuring the requirements are factored into the competitive scoping. • Experience conducting initial operation assessment and contributing to value/cost/risk trade-offs during concept selection. Experience developing OPEX estimates and Owners Costs • Experience in participating in Project Integrated Technical Reviews (ITRs), Design Safety Reviews (DSR), OMARs, HAZOPs • Extensive experience leading and coordinating Pre-Startup Audits and Safety Review. • Experience identifying training requirements, coordinating on-site training and operator competence development. • Experience providing coaching and OJT training for local staff • Experience coordinating and facilitating Project-to-Asset handover • Experience developing and reviewing Operating Procedures and Manuals • Experience delivering operations management systems e.g. Operational Registers (LOLC), MoC systems etc • Experience delivering variable tables and alarm rationalization • Experience in delivery of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems: Asset register Build, development of PM routines, Bill of Materials (BoM) and 2-year Operating Spares • Knowledge of Risk Based Inspections (RBI) • Prior working experience in Iraq is an advantage • Good technical communication skills
