Our Iraq division is expanding its operations and is seeking an experienced logistics manager to streamline cross-border import processes and lead our logistics team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee end-to-end customs clearance operations for imports via UMM QASR Port, Turkish border crossings (e.g., Ibrahim Khalil), and Saudi border checkpoints (e.g., Arar).
2. Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators, ensuring compliance with Iraqi customs regulations and international trade laws.
3. Develop risk-mitigation strategies for delays, documentation errors, or geopolitical challenges at key transit points.
4. Liaise with government authorities, freight forwarders, and local agents to expedite cargo release and resolve disputes.
5. Optimize cost-efficiency in freight routing, duty/tax calculations, and warehousing coordination.
6. Implement digital tracking systems for real-time shipment monitoring and reporting.
7. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to CCFG’s safety, compliance, and anti-corruption policies.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in logistics/customs management, with 3+ years in Iraq or conflict-prone regions** (Middle East experience preferred).
- Proven track record in managing imports through UMM QASR Port and MENA land borders.
Skills:
- Expertise in Iraqi Customs Law (Tariff Codes, G2G Agreements) and familiarity with Turkish/Saudi import protocols.
- Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and English; Turkish/Kurdish is a plus.
- Advanced negotiation skills with port authorities and border agencies.
