An International FMCG is looking to hire a Senior Supply Chain Manager Based in Iraq to oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations at its Iraq-based facility. This is a pivotal role responsible for procurement, import operations, customs clearance, and coordination with global supply chain teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead procurement of direct (raw/packaging materials) and indirect materials (spare parts, IT, equipment).
- Conduct market research and supplier audits to support cost-effective sourcing and NPD (New Product Development) initiatives.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and ensure continuous monitoring of vendor performance.
- Manage all import activities, including PO accuracy, payment coordination, and logistics follow-up.
- Ensure customs clearance processes align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, production, logistics) and central planning to optimize forecasting and inventory.
- Generate performance reports to support plant and HQ decision-making.
- Ensure full utilization of SAP and implement workflow enhancements to improve procurement efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in FMCG either based in Iraq or regional exposure in Iraq.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong analytical, leadership, and negotiation skills.
