Job purpose

To maintain, repair HVAC system in process area. Perform preventive & shutdown maintenance, inspection, repair, installation and commissioning of HVAC i.e. Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Systems in Majnoon.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and repair HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems.
• Troubleshoot issues with industrial HVAC system.
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools and adjust system settings to keep the system reliable.
• Downloading and uploading programs in PLCs such as Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradly etc.
• Trouble shoot and repair the smart VRF HVAC units which are having BLDC motors and programmed electronic cards.
• Carry out brazing with oxy acetylene set to replace compressors, rectifying copper pipe leaks and modifying refrigerant pipe lines
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls,
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, brazing torch, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized.
• Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of HVAC, air conditioning systems; flush rebuild pressure and temperature.
• Install compressors, evaporators, motors, ducts, and piping as well as mechanical/electrical controls; read and interpret blueprints/diagrams.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and repair malfunctioning HVAC systems and components; utilize measuring and testing instruments
• Demonstrated exceptional time management skills; organized and prioritized high volume of work orders to ensure maximum quality

Qualifications & Experience

• University degree in related discipline.
• 8-10 Years’ experience of HVAC system and AC units within a large industrial plant, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.

Computer and software skills

• Excel – advanced
• Word – Intermediate
• Power Point - Intermediate

• Intermediate Proficiency in English verbal & written.

Skills

• Knowledge of Materials, methods and tools used in the operation and repair of HVAC.
• knowledge of Welding and soldering techniques.
• Proper methods of storing equipment
• Aware about PTW system and working in Oil field
• Have IT Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft office, SharePoint etc…)
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Work independently with little direction.
• Meet schedules and time lines.
• Maintain routine records and prepare reports.
