Develop & support in implementing cost reduction strategies & action plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop & support in implementing cost reduction strategies & action plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Assess & report financial estimations of cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing resource allocation & improving cost efficiency.
- Collect & analyze cost data, cost drivers, & financial performance indicators.
- Design & oversee the development of IT applications to provide insights on cost trends & areas for improvement.
- Ensure that the baseline & optimization efforts balance between efficiency & compliance.
- Periodically review & refine cost baseline models & cost optimization processes.
- Provide recommendations & drive the automation of cost baselines.
- Support the process to enable Hydrocarbon accounting across the company’s value chain; & support data validation/ reconciliation processes to ensure consistency & accuracy of production data.
- Coach & mentor company resources to build their capabilities in supporting & leading Cost Optimization initiatives.
Education & Qualification
- Degrees in finance, engineering, or business.
- Preferred professional certifications, such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Mgmt. Accountant (CMA), Kaizen, Six Sigma.
- Proven track record of successfully advising & supporting CXO-level in O&G organisations in cost management & optimisation.
Experience
- Total 18+ years' industry experience, out of which 13+ years in the O&G industry in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in financial analytics & cost mgmt., cost optimization across O&G value Chain, Oil & Gas Procurement/ Financial Transformation.
Skills
- Expertise in cost optimization and financial analytics in the Oil & Gas sector
- Proficiency in cost modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP)
- Knowledge of hydrocarbon accounting and data reconciliation
- Strong stakeholder management, including CXO-level engagement
- Experience in process automation and digital dashboards
- Solid problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with procurement and financial transformation initiatives
- Certifications or working knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen preferred
