Developing, implementing, and updating HSSE policies and procedures to comply with local regulations and industry standards. Ensuring that these policies are effectively communicated and adhered to on-site.
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and risks. Developing strategies and controls to mitigate these risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Ensuring that all construction activities comply with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations and standards. This includes monitoring site operations, conducting inspections, and managing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Providing training and awareness programs for site personnel on HSSE practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensuring that all employees are knowledgeable about safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Leading the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Analyzing root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preparing reports to prevent recurrence and improve safety practices.
Developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, such as fires, chemical spills, and natural disasters. Conducting drills and ensuring that all staff are trained in emergency response.
: Promoting a positive safety culture on-site by encouraging safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions, and recognizing safe behaviors. Engaging with employees to foster a proactive approach to HSSE.
Overseeing health and wellness programs for site personnel, including monitoring for occupational health issues and promoting overall well-being. This includes managing health screenings and providing support for mental health and stress management.
Ensuring that construction activities minimize environmental impact by managing waste, controlling emissions, and adhering to environmental protection regulations. Implementing sustainability practices and promoting environmental stewardship.
Overseeing site security measures to protect personnel, equipment, and materials. This includes implementing access controls, monitoring security systems, and addressing any security concerns.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to HSSE activities, including safety inspections, training records, incident reports, and compliance audits. Providing regular reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that HSSE considerations are integrated into project planning and execution. Providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.
Identifying opportunities for improving HSSE practices and performance. Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to enhance the effectiveness of HSSE programs.
