Job Overview:
Compliance with company HSES Management System requirements; in line with set objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform duties in accordance with Project HSES Management Plan and HSES Activity Schedule.
- Support the HSES Management of subcontractors and vendors.
- Provide HSES support to the management of vessels and offshore operations.
- Assist in the development of project offshore safety and environmental management plans and procedures.
- Participate in HSES audits and inspections.
- Initiate, monitor and report on the progress of audit and inspection findings.
- Assist in interpretation of regulatory requirements and compliance monitoring.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSES initiatives within the project.
- Assist and participate in emergency response drills; including preparation of reports and inspection of equipment.
- Participate in incident investigations and prepare reports as necessary.
- Attend HSES committee meetings and project progress meetings.
- Conduct vessel / location HSES briefings and orientations, as necessary.
- Follow up on ‘Open’ vessel / location HSES Central Action Tracking Register (CATR) action items, to assist in close-out’.
- Exercise the right to refuse unsafe work and obligation to stop any found.
- Act in a professional manner to protect the Company’s reputation with Governments, local business communities, and peoples of the countries in which McDermott operates.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- 2 to 5 years Oil and Gas HSE experience
- Internationally recognized qualification in occupational health and safety;
- ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Internal auditor qualification
- Fluent spoken and written English language
- Technical writing and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- National college diploma or certificate
