• Analyze and configure the basic structural components of a building or other structure for ensuring the quality of
• design.
• Review the design criteria (basic structural components, geotechnical properties, wind loads, seismic loads, loads, fire
• protection) and ensure adequacy of design.
• Analyze the structural elements to ensure the quality of the design.
• Analyze and reviews the loading plan and ensure compliance with codes and the project operational purpose.
• Determine the pressures that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will experience from other parts of the structure
• due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes.
• Study the impact of the temporary works (formwork, tower cranes foundations and supports) on the structural elements,
• provide calculations, details and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the
• construction of the proposed project.
• Provide safe structural solutions to suite the architectural and MEP requirements.

Skills

Job Knowledge & Skills

Advanced proficiency in CAD software and other design tools for drafting and creating technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.

Extensive knowledge of architectural and engineering principles to effectively coordinate technical aspects of projects and resolve design challenges.

Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and quality assurance throughout the design process.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, oversee technical coordination efforts, and align project objectives.

Problem-solving abilities to anticipate and address technical issues, optimize project outcomes, and contribute to the successful delivery of design projects.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
