Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing and Communications Director to lead our global marketing initiatives within the higher education sector. This strategic role is crucial for enhancing our institution's brand presence and engagement worldwide, driving recruitment strategies, and elevating our overall market impact. Core Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with our institution’s goals and enhance its global presence. Lead and manage international marketing and communications campaigns across various media platforms, ensuring they are culturally relevant and effective in target markets. Oversee the creation of promotional materials, digital content, and press releases, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and are tailored to diverse international audiences. Collaborate with academic departments, institutional programs and institutes, and administration to promote programs and initiatives that highlight AUIB’s strengths and unique offerings. Monitor and analyze market trends in the education sector globally and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive advantage. Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and vendors to ensure collaboration and efficiency in all marketing and communications efforts. Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Measure and report the performance of all global marketing and communications campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). Manage media relations and public inquiries, and manage AUIB’s international press room. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of eight years of strategic marketing and/or communications experience in the higher education sector, with a proven track record in managing comprehensive global marketing and communications campaigns. Strong understanding of trends, dynamics, and requirements in international education markets. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and inspire a team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficient in digital marketing strategies, SEO, data analytics, and CRM software. Ability to work flexibly and travel internationally as needed. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

The ideal candidate must have: Strong communication style and compelling, diverse portfolio, particularly in marketing, communications, and recruitment in the higher education field. Ability to function with a high degree of independence and to act very collaboratively in the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies. Strong competency with standard software applications and the ability to learn new software. Excellent planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and creatively, thoroughly, and confidentially; work independently under pressure. Strong project management skills.
