We are looking for a Technical Training & Competence Manager for one of our clients with the following details:  

Start: September 2024

Location: Basra, Iraq

Duration: 12 months, renewable  

Scheme: Rotation (28/28)

Qualifications And Experience Required:

• University Degree in Engineering.


• Minimum 10 years' experience in technical training and competence management within the oil and gas industry. Previous experience in managing an international team


• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.


• Excellent instructional design and training delivery skills.


• Experience in conducting training needs assessments and competency evaluations.


• Strong organizational and project management skills.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus (both written and spoken).

Job Dimension

• The Technical Training and Competence Manager is responsible for overseeing the training and development of employees in the company.


• This role is crucial in ensuring that employees have the necessary technical skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely.


• The job holder will design and implement training programs, assess training needs, and work closely with department managers to develop training plans.
