Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PMC Piping Supervisor - Construction Supervisor Stations to oversee piping construction activities related to stations for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra, Iraq. The Piping Supervisor will ensure all piping installation and construction works meet project specifications, schedules, and safety standards. This role requires technical expertise in piping systems, strong leadership skills, and experience managing large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all piping construction activities for stations, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines. Monitor the installation of piping systems, verifying compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities meet quality and safety requirements. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth execution of piping works. Oversee welding, assembly, testing, and installation of piping systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications. Review and approve piping drawings, isometrics, and test packages to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of piping materials and equipment. Support hydrostatic testing, flushing, and other pre-commissioning activities for piping systems. Promote adherence to HSE policies and procedures, fostering a culture of safety on-site. Prepare and submit progress reports, including updates on piping construction, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

+ 8-12 years of experience in piping construction supervision, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline projects.+ Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in station construction is highly desirable.

Skills:

+ Strong knowledge of piping construction, welding techniques, and international codes (e.g., ASME, API).+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and layouts.
+ Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
+ Strong leadership and communication abilities for effective team coordination.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure high-quality construction standards.
