We are looking for an Engineer who will be responsible for managing a production line, planning and control the production, preventive maintenance, line efficiencies, raw material yields, and coordination with Production Supervisor, located in Erbil (Erbil plant, Kawrgosk) , Iraq
Develop production schedules according to production plans, optimize resource usage, ensure resource availability and manage team leave plans. Assigning tasks according to work programs to Foreman. Analyzing production data, follow up and monitoring machine and daily production reports, ensure postproduction confirmations in SAP and handshaking with warehouse team is in place. Optimizing, implementing, and improving production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste as well as Identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements in workflow ensure optimum productivity. Ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards. Monitoring production parameters to ensure consistency in product quality. Overseeing and planning the maintenance and repair activities of production equipment to prevent downtime and ensure SAP PM module system utilization as well as spare part management. Determine spares needs according to maintenance plans and raise purchase requests Development and implementation of maintenance plans for newly added plant equipment’s Supporting & facilitating other departments in achieving their targets. Troubleshooting machinery issues to minimize interruptions in production and recommending upgrades or replacements for outdated equipment spare parts. Ensuring production processes adhere to food safety and safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, OHSAS 45001), Implementing safety protocols to protect workers and prevent contamination and conducting regular audits and inspections of production areas. Identifying opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality, tracking and analyzing production expenses to ensure budget adherence. Supervising production team members to ensure adherence to protocols and schedules, conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback, organizing and preparing development plans for the team. Developing sustainable production practices to minimize environmental impact plus waste-reduction strategies. Preparing and reviewing detailed reports on production performance, issues, and recommendations, maintaining records of production metrics, maintenance logs, and compliance audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 3 years of total experience. Communication and team management abilities. Teamwork. Problem-solving, analytical skills and decision making. Ability to lead and manage production systems and cross-functional projects. Proficient with ERP software and Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel. Openness to Change & Diversity Health and Safety Knowledge. Knowledge of food processing techniques and machinery. Understanding of food safety and quality standards. Proficiency in process optimization tools and software. ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001 trainings.
