  • Capable of leading and commanding the respect of a large body of men and women and be able to exercise discipline and the maintenance of high performance standards.





  • Progressive management experience in an international environment with operational experience in a hostile environment.





  • APT experience and demonstrable experience of managing both mobile and static security operations in a complex environment.





  • Ex military Commissioned Officer, Warrant Officer or Police inspector in a Commonwealth force, or have demonstrable management experience on a similar project.





  • Experience interacting with multi-national and local national personnel.





  • Proven IT skills in all Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.





  • Strong liaison experience including local government forces and third-party suppliers.





  • Experience in the maintenance, review, and continuous improvement of security and safety management systems.




Services


The Project Manager will be responsible for day to day management of the GardaWorld’s project manpower at all sites (mobile and static), and for the provision of all necessary administrative support to them and for liaison with the OSMs, CPG and Post Security Officer as well as any other depts. as required.



The Project Manager will be responsible for the execution of this contract in Iraq and who will report to the SOSM in Baghdad. This person will be responsible for the maintenance of an extremely high level of discipline and standards within GardaWorld’s Armed Protection Teams (APTs) and Static Security Service.



The Project Manager will ensure that all GardaWorld Contractors meet operational and training standards and fully comply with SOPs. The Project Manager should produce and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and liaise daily with the SOSM as a single direct point of contact.



Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of ops support to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of FCDO, Iraq. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include: 





  • Full management accountability for operational aspects of delivery of the contract to the Client at the BEB and other sites in Iraq.





  • To ensure Journey Management Process on all client moves.





  • To deliver and oversee effective training in line with the agreed pre-deployment and post deployment refresher training programme.





  • Maintain high standards of customer service.





  • Maintain management accountability/responsibility for all contract equipment.





  • Maintain adherence to and reporting of the contractual stipulated Key Performance Indicators.





  • Proactively meet the changing requirements of the Client.





  • Comply with all FCDO reporting requirements.





  • Co-ordination and cooperation with other organisations working with the BEB and any satellite stations.





  • After consultation with the OSM, actively pursue opportunities for value for money on behalf of the UK Taxpayer.





  • Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines .
