Job Summary

The Clinical Performance Specialist will be responsible for enhancing clinical quality and patient care by analyzing performance data, implementing improvement strategies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. This role requires expertise in clinical practices, data analysis, and quality improvement methodologies to drive high standards of care and operational excellence.





Job Responsibilities 1

Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), clinical outcomes, and quality metrics to stakeholders.



Develop, implement, and oversee quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Utilize methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.



Conduct regular audits of clinical practices, documentation, and patient care processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.



Establish and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs and initiatives. Identify and address performance issues in collaboration with clinical staff and leadership.



Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to clinical staff on best practices, performance improvement techniques, and new policies or procedures. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.





Job Responsibilities 2

Work closely with clinical teams, department heads, and other stakeholders to develop and implement action plans for addressing performance gaps and improving clinical practices. Facilitate interdisciplinary meetings to review performance data and strategies.



Ensure clinical practices and documentation adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS). Assist in preparing for regulatory and accreditation surveys.



Collaborate with the patient safety team to identify and mitigate safety risks, develop safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety within the organization. Monitor and report on patient safety incidents and trends.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS) and electronic health records (EHR) systems.



Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA) and clinical performance metrics.



Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.



Familiarity with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and patient safety practices.



Experience with clinical decision support systems and performance management software.



Knowledge of project management principles and tools.





Job Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on quality improvement, performance analysis, or related areas.



Minimum 1 year in GCC (preferred)
