Position Summary
The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Duhok office. This role is essential for ensuring a hygienic, safe, and welcoming work environment for staff, clients, and visitors. The housekeeper will carry out daily cleaning tasks, manage cleaning supplies, and adhere to health and safety standards.
Working Hours:
- Days: Sunday to Thursday
- Hours: working hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize office spaces, including workstations, meeting rooms, and common areas, such as the kitchen and reception.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces, floors, and furniture daily.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors regularly to ensure they remain streak-free and clear.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, switches, and shared equipment).
- Clean and disinfect restroom facilities thoroughly daily.
- Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Report any maintenance or plumbing issues promptly.
- Clean and organize the kitchen area, including countertops, sinks, and appliances.
- Wash and store office dishes and utensils.
- Monitor and ensure kitchen supplies are stocked.
- Track cleaning supplies and notify the Operation Officer when restocking is needed.
- Ensure all cleaning tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Assist with setting up meeting rooms or events when required.
- Report any damages or safety hazards within the office premises.
- Ensure outdoor areas, if applicable, are kept clean and tidy.

Kurdish Proficiency Level Required: Native
Qualifications and Education (required):
o Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
o Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
o Ability to work efficiently and follow a routine.
o Skills in minor vehicle repairs. Knowledge of Office-area transportation system
o Awareness of and respect for diverse cultural contexts and values, which is essential for working with people from different backgrounds.
o Ability to plan efficient routes, using GPS or maps, to meet deadlines and minimize delays.
o Elementary use of computers (e.g. email, internet, word processing).
