<h4>Role of the Maintenance Manager</h4>

<li><strong>Resource allocator</strong> - Manages manpower, equipment, and budget to optimize productivity.</li>
<li><strong>Communications</strong> - Ensures communication with operations and management regarding maintenance that could impact production and targets.</li>
<li><strong>Problem-solver</strong> - Quickly addresses maintenance-related operational disruptions, equipment failures, or emergency situations.</li>

<h4>Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager</h4>
<p><strong>Maintenance Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Plan, organize, control, and oversees maintenance activities in line with strategy.</li>
<li>Ensure maintenance is executed according to maintenance plans.</li>
<li>Minimize downtime and optimize use of facilities, plants, wells, and equipment.</li>
<li>Review and assess maintenance requirements for production strategies and any planned outages or turnaround activities.</li>
<li>Manage emergent production outages to ensure the most efficient resolution and restarts.</li>
<li>Monitor KPIs such as production rates, efficiency, and operating costs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and regulations.</li>
<li>Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.</li>
<li>Develop and implement emergency response plans.</li>
<li>Promote a safety-first culture among staff and contractors.</li>
<li>Conduct and participate in site walkdowns with team and representatives.</li>
<li>Support emergency response plans and exercises per requirements, liaising with HSE and Emergency Response Teams.</li>
<li>Act as focal point for maintenance critical issues, ensuring communication with site management and stakeholders.</li>

<p><strong>People & Team Management</strong></p>

<li>Manage, supervise, and motivate field staff and contractors.</li>
<li>Plan and manage manpower availability and work rotation requirements.</li>
<li>Manage disciplinary issues, conflicts, and performance reviews.</li>
<li>Promote skill development and succession planning in line with localization targets and development programs.</li>

<p><strong>Financial & Resource Control</strong></p>

<li>Ensure efficient maintenance procurement and inventory management.</li>
<li>Support assessment and approval of expenditures within set limits.</li>

<p><strong>Regulatory & Compliance</strong></p>

<li>Maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications.</li>

<li>Coordinate with team and operations for preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment targeting no disruption to production.</li>

<li>Support and liaise with engineering to solve operational challenges related to equipment and requirements impacting production.</li>
<li>Ensure integrity of all systems through maintenance measures and strategies.</li>
