Role Description

As a Graduate Data Engineer at Kanidata, you begin with a paid, world-class education & development program (4 months) before deploying to client delivery for two years with leading regional teams. At the end of your contract, you’ll have attractive paths - continue with us (including Dubai residency options), join your client full-time, or take your experience into a new journey.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain production ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Model warehouse tables, write clear documentation, and automate jobs.
  • Design reliable, scalable enterprise-grade data systems.
  • Monitor reliability, performance, and costs; resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with product/analytics/ML stakeholders on delivery.
  • Own simple, observable designs that keep data trustworthy.


Compensation

  • Development program (4 months): $400/month.
  • Year 1 (deployment): $850/month → $950 after 6 months.
  • Year 2 (deployment): $1,100/month → $1,200 after 6 months.

Skills

  • Recent graduate in a STEM field
  • Strong written and spoken English; able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a structured approach to thinking about issues.
  • Comfortable working with data (e.g. basic SQL, spreadsheets, or simple scripts) and motivated to deepen your technical skills in data engineering.
  • Curious, self-driven learner who enjoys picking up new tools, concepts, and technologies.
  • Reliable team player: you take ownership, respond to feedback, and follow through on commitments.
