• Position: Director - Quantity Surveyor
• Work Location : Baghdad (Iraq)
• Functional Area: Project Commercial / QS / Cost Control
• Purpose: 
  • Deploy and manage QS team across projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures throughout project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract: 
  • Review BOQ, validate specifications and quantities.
• Post-Contract: 
  • Issue draft contracts, upload signed agreements.
  • Update cost reports, finalize variations, manage payment processes.
  • Handle VAT, insurance, and contractual documentation.
• Team Management: 
  • Allocate QS resources, guide team on deliverables.
  • Ensure reporting timelines and compliance.
• Commercial & Contractual: 
  • Liaise for urgent approvals, manage claims, finalize accounts.
  • Organize variation approval meetings, resolve disputes.
• Process Improvement: 
  • Streamline QS protocols, track cost trends.

Education & Experience

• Qualification: B.E/B.Sc. Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience: 18–20+ years with major contractors/developers.
• Preferred: Membership in a professional institute.
• Strong QS and contract expertise.
• Cost management, analytical ability, multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Leadership and communication skills.
