Overview ***This position is physically located in Iraq*** Under the supervision of the Sr. DPW Manager, the Electrical Superintendent position requires thorough knowledge of electrical standards, as well as CAD and schematics. Design and develop electrical systems to the required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability and quality. Invent new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs. Is responsible for the counterfeit review and inspection of all electronic parts or end items, components, parts, or assemblies that contain electronic parts to determine their authenticity. Electrical Inspector inspects, analyzes, and assesses all cases of suspected counterfeit material and develops inspection packet. Ensures compliance with requisite contractual, US Government, local and safety, regulations, codes, policies, guidelines and instructions. Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, Vectrus Safety Procedures and local standards. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Plan and oversee all electric and power installations in collaboration with project managers and other engineering professionals. + Ensure all electrical work performed complies with the national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues promptly. + Maintain records of all electrical equipment and ensure regular maintenance. + Provide leadership and training to junior electricians and apprentices. + Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries. + Coordinate with suppliers and manage supplies inventory to ensure timely availability of materials. Qualifications + Minimum Qualifications: + OCN Education/Certifications/Experience: + One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Valid UK Master Electrician's license in NICEIC + Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical projects within the construction industry. + Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and building codes. + Skills: + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. + Proven leadership skills and experience in team management. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Excellent knowledge in MS Office & Maximo. + Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. + A commitment to ethical conduct and safety. + Ability to work well with diverse nationalities + Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities: + Supervises all personnel at assigned site + Working Conditions: + Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. + Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). + Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. + Physical Requirements: + Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. + Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations.
