Job Objectives:
- Record and report the freight forwarder’s operations inside and outside the port, concerning trailers, machinery, manpower, and third-party services, ensuring contractual compliance.
- Communicate the progress of levy exemption import approvals for Project materials and resolve any urgent issues.
- Work with the freight forwarder to complete special operations approvals, such as for vehicles, chemicals, telecommunications, and cargo re-export.
- Assist in checking and verifying freight invoices and prepare the freight forwarder’s In-country, Out-country service report.
- Support the evaluation of the freight forwarder’s performance.
- Expedite and follow up on the delivery and shipment of Project materials, covering all Incoterms. Use the project’s electronic information platform to effectively track production and delivery progress for all materials, while urging freight forwarders to update data on time.
- Review customs clearance documents to ensure the freight forwarder checks them in compliance with Iraqi import regulations and the oilfield project’s levy exemption requirements, avoiding any technical or textual errors.
- Monitor and coordinate the approval process for levy exemption import permits and the import of critical materials from key contractors.

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree. Candidates majoring in international trade, laws, computer science, or petroleum engineering are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding or customs clearance within Iraq.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently with operating systems.
- Commanding Maximo or SAP is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in freight management for Iraqi oil projects, experience working for globally renowned freight forwarders, and experience in the oil materials and equipment supply chain industry are preferred.
