We are seeking an experienced Generator Mechanical Technician with strong hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting generator mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate will ensure generators operate efficiently, safely, and reliably through proper mechanical maintenance and timely fault resolution.
Pension Plan Paid Time Off Training & Development Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on generators of various capacities.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults related to engines, cooling systems, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, belt inspection, and engine tuning.
Install, align, and test generator mechanical components during commissioning and servicing.
Monitor engine performance, vibration, temperature, and noise levels to ensure safe operation.
Identify worn or damaged parts and recommend replacements.
Support emergency breakdown repairs and on-site mechanical troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.
Coordinate with electrical technicians during generator servicing and testing.
Qualifications Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of practical experience working with diesel generators or power generation equipment.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and lubrication systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and service manuals.
Experience with different generator brands and capacities is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in field conditions.
