The Sales Country Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and executing the national sales strategy to achieve sustainable growth, market share expansion, and profitability across Iraq.
The role oversees all field force operations, ensures excellence in execution, and acts as a key contributor to overall country business performance while maintaining full compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.
Sales Strategy & Business Planning:- Develop and implement the annual sales strategy and country business plan aligned with regional and corporate objectives.
- Translate strategic goals into clear targets, KPIs, and action plans.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Identify growth opportunities including new products and market expansion.
Field Force Leadership & Management- Lead and motivate Sales Managers, Area Managers, Supervisors, and Medical Representatives.
- Ensure optimal field force structure and territory alignment.
- Drive performance through coaching, reviews, and development plans.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
Sales Execution Excellence- Ensure effective execution of promotional strategies and brand plans.
- Monitor call quality, targeting, and cycle plans.
- Drive achievement of sales targets and market share.
- Implement and optimize CRM and SFE tools.
Stakeholder Management & Compliance- Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and institutions.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Ensure full compliance with Iraqi regulations and company policies.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
5-10 years pharmaceutical sales experience.
Minimum 5 years in senior sales leadership role.
Strong knowledge of the Iraqi pharmaceutical market.
