Sales & Business Development Manager - Iraq

Job Summary Advanced Mechanical Solutions (AMS) is seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to lead our commercial growth across all Iraqi regions. The role will be based in Baghdad and will be responsible for sales execution, market development, partner engagement, and strategic growth of AMS’s full product and solutions portfolio in Iraq. This role is critical to establishing AMS as a key player in the Iraqi market, developing strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and end users, and securing major private and public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Growth Develop and execute a nationwide sales strategy covering all Iraqi regions. Achieve and exceed annual sales targets across AMS’s full product range. Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, quotations, and contracts. Business Development Identify and develop new business opportunities, projects, and key accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, distributors, and end users. Actively pursue large-scale projects, tenders, and strategic opportunities in the private and public sectors. Establish local partnerships and channels to strengthen AMS’s market presence. Market & Partner Management Represent AMS in the Iraqi market and act as the primary commercial interface. Coordinate with international principals and partners to support project specifications and approvals. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies. Regional Coverage & Travel Be fully responsible for all Iraqi regions, with frequent travel for client meetings, site visits, and project follow-ups. Support the setup and growth of AMS’s operations beyond Baghdad as the business expands. Reporting & Coordination Provide regular sales forecasts, market reports, and performance updates to senior management. Coordinate closely with engineering, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in sales and business development within MEP, HVAC, pumps, or electromechanical systems. Proven experience in the Iraqi market with strong local industry connections. Demonstrated success in project-based sales and large accounts. Strong commercial, negotiation, and presentation skills. Skills & Competencies Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the Iraqi market High level of professionalism, ethics, and accountability Fluency in Arabic and English
