Role Description
This full-time on-site position is based in Sulaymaniyah at SPU. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day administrative operations, coordinating between different departments, assisting in project planning and implementation, and ensuring tasks are executed efficiently. The role includes managing communications between faculty, staff, and university stakeholders, organizing meetings, maintaining records, and contributing to achieving institutional objectives. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for growth and improvement within the university.
Qualifications
Administrative and Organizational Skills: Strong ability in project planning, time management, maintaining records, and coordinating cross-team activities. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication paired with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Management and Leadership Skills: Experience in supervising teams, delegation, and problem-solving within an educational or professional environment. Proficiency in Technology: Skilled in using office software, data management systems, and other relevant digital tools. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (a Master’s degree is preferred). Experience in educational administration or a similar role is highly desirable. Multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational needs. Familiarity with the higher education sector and knowledge of the operational framework of universities are advantageous.
