About The Role

We are seeking a People Operations Associate to support day-to-day HR and people operations for our Baghdad team. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. The role will focus on execution, coordination, and employee support, with guidance and direction from the People Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Support

Coordinate and support end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple roles. Schedule interviews, manage candidate communications, and maintain hiring trackers. Support job postings, CV screening, and coordination with recruitment agencies. Assist with employer branding activities and local hiring initiatives.

Employee Lifecycle Operations

Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and inductions. Track probation periods, contract renewals, and employee records. Assist with performance review cycles, feedback collection, and documentation. Act as a first point of contact for basic employee queries.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Coordination

Support payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and monthly data validation. Assist in administering benefits such as medical insurance, leaves, and allowances. Maintain accurate employee compensation and benefits records.

Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations

Support implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook guidelines. Ensure employee documentation complies with Iraqi labor law requirements. Escalate employee relations issues and disciplinary cases appropriately. Assist with HR audits and legal documentation when required.

Culture, Engagement & Learning Support

Help execute employee engagement initiatives and internal events. Support surveys, feedback collection, and basic reporting. Assist in coordinating training sessions and learning programs.

HR Operations & Reporting

Maintain HR systems, personnel files, and employee data accuracy. Prepare HR reports (headcount, attrition, hiring status). Support continuous improvement of HR processes and workflows.

Required Qualifications & Experience

At least 2 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a related role. Basic to good understanding of Iraqi labor law and local HR practices. Experience supporting HR processes across the employee lifecycle. Comfortable working in a fast-moving, startup or growth environment. Willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow into broader responsibilities.
