Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Erbil, Iraq
Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our team in Erbil. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical system design, preparation of detailed engineering drawings, and supervision of on-site electrical works to ensure compliance with approved designs, applicable standards, and project specifications. This role requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, and the ability to manage construction activities efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Electrical System Design:Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
Drawings & Documentation:Prepare, review, and revise electrical drawings such as single-line diagrams, lighting layouts, power layouts, and control systems using Auto CAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar software.
Project Management & Coordination:Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and integration of electrical systems.
Site Supervision & Execution:Supervise on-site electrical works, conduct inspections, and ensure installation complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety regulations.
Quality Control & Compliance:Ensure all electrical installations meet Iraqi regulations and relevant international standards (IEC, BS, NFPA, etc.).
Troubleshooting & Technical Support:Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues during design, installation, testing, and commissioning stages.
Reporting & BOQs:Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation.

Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, site supervision, and project execution. Strong knowledge of: Power distribution systems, Single-line diagrams (SLD), Lighting calculations and layouts, Grounding and earthing systems, Low-voltage and control systems,Proficiency in Auto CAD, Dialux, and other relevant electrical design tools. Good understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Knowledge of renewable energy systems, energy-efficient designs, and smart electrical solutions
