Job Details

Responsibilities:

Supports the Maintenance Advisor (MA) with all maintenance related aspects in their assigned station.
Supports execution of work through identification, planning, scheduling, and execution of planned and unplanned maintenance.
Coordinate efficient execution of maintenance activities in assigned area.
Coach and mentor local workforce.
Implement structured maintenance system in assigned production facilities.
Implement good work management processes and adherence.
Promotes a culture of open safety reporting and continuous improvement.
Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
Supports MA to ensure the safe execution of maintenance activities in support of ROO’s standards, values, and behaviours inside assigned station.
Supports the MA to ensure effective and efficient asset maintenance, covering multi-discipline preventative (PM) and corrective (CM) maintenance activities completed in the assigned station.
Owns and maintains a zero tolerance for overdue maintenance (SCE and anomaly management) to reduce risk to production, personnel, plant, and environment.
Deputises for the MA for daily validation and maintenance planning meeting with station team, ensuring timely validation of new work if MA is not available.
Have close oversight of contractors for managed activities and review contractor reports for:

  • quality of scope of work (pre, during, and post work)
  • cost
  • resources and equipment utilisation
  • materials
  • durations
  • Drives compliance with the standardized work management process, including deferral and risk management.
    Helps the MA maintain the required daily updates and progress in the operations and maintenance tracker and department-specific daily reports.
    Inputs into the ROO choke model for their assigned degassing station to ensure vulnerabilities are understood and assessed to reduce risk and optimise production.
    Supports the MA in driving plant and equipment availability and supporting reliability improvement initiatives discovered as part of root cause failure analysis investigations, ensuring timely closure of any allocated station actions.
    Recommends execution optimization opportunities to the Maintenance Advisor.
    Supports the MA to maintain the 12-week maintenance activity schedule. Seeks nesting opportunities for all activities and ensures no activities at risk (red flag) will be carried into the schedule without prior agreement with MA.
    Ensure change management (MOC) issues are identified and engineering queries (EQs) are raised in a timely manner to resolve and meet business objectives.
    Supports MA and operations team on returning plant to safe operation post planned interventions.
    Timely GOC paperwork closeout (ITRs).
    MC1 walkdowns.
    PSSR sign off.
    Seek out continuous improvements (CI) by standardizing best practice activities across site and maintenance teams,
    optimize maintenance strategy,
    improvements to maintenance build,
    optimize materials look-up and staging.
    Input and manage maintenance backlog for site turnaround and train outages.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    10+ years of relevant field experience with an average of 13 years and a minimum of 3 years experience in oil and gas industry (preferably with international oil companies direct or contract).
    Technical HNC certificate in maintenance discipline role.
    Good English language proficiency spoken and written.
    Practical exposure to production facilities.
    Good IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
    Ability to identify and assess safety hazards.
    Leadership skills – managing multi-discipline and multi-cultural workforce.
    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    Ability to identify priorities of maintenance activities in a high activity environment.
    Driven to deliver continuous improvement.
    Strong bias for being proactive and getting results.
    Good understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS – Maximo).
    Good understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Certified professional engineer.
